Maine Corn Chowder Recipe
Ingredients
| Bacon Slices | 5 | |
| Onions | 2 Medium, sliced | |
| Potatoes | 3 Cup (16 tbs), pared | |
| Water | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Cream style corn | 1 Can (10oz) | |
| Milk | 2 Cup (16 tbs) |
Directions
Cook bacon in Dutch oven until crisp.
Drain onpaper towels.
Set aside.
Saute" onion in bacon drippings until soft.
Add potatoes, water, salt, and pepper.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat; cover and simmer about 15 minutes until potatoes are tender.
Add corn and milk.
Heat thoroughly.
When serving, garnish with crumbled bacon.
