 Potatoes3 Medium, cut in to chunks
 3 carrots, peeled and sliced
 1/3 cup pearl barley
 Cabbage1/2 Small, shredded
 Tomato juice1 Pint
 Green beans package1/2 , frozen
 1 or 2 small zucchini, scrubbed and cut in chunks Cooked meat

Directions

Prepare beef stock (above). Taste to be sure it has a hearty flavor. If not, boil down to about 2 quarts. To boiling stock, add potatoes, carrots, barley, cabbage, turnips, and tomatoes. Cook until vegetables are partially cooked. Add green beans and zucchini for last 10 to 15 minutes of cooking. Add cooked meat last 5 minutes.
