Main Event Corned Beef Recipe
Ingredients
| Corned beef brisket | 4 Pound | |
| Beer | 1 12 Ounce | |
| Peppercorns | 4 | |
| Bay Leaf | 1 | |
| Thyme | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Potatoes | 6 Small, peeled | |
| Carrots | 6 , scraped | |
| Cabbage | 1 Small |
Directions
Place corned beef in large, heavy kettle.
Add beer and enough water to cover.
Add peppercorns, bay leaf and thyme.
Bring to boil.
Reduce heat, cover and cook 3 to 3 1/2 hr. until tender.
If desired, add potatoes, carrots or cabbage 30 min before meat is done.
