Madras Chutney Recipe
This Madras Chutney is my favorite with Idlis, dosas and other south Indian Breakfast items. Just try this spicy dip yourself and tell me if you like it ! This Madras Chutney is a Chennai favorite !
Ingredients
1 large bunch coriander leaves
1 tablespoon thick tamarind water
1/2 coconut, grated
1 teaspoon jaggery
Few sprigs mint
Salt
2 green chillies
Directions
Grind the coconut, coriander, mint and chillies to a smooth paste.
Dissolve the jaggery and salt in the tamarind water.
Add this to the paste and mix well.
Taste, and correct seasoning.
Add a drop or two of green coloring, if desired.
