1/4 cup butter or other shortening
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 egg, well beaten
1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts
3 cups Grape-Nuts Flakes
1 cup Baker's Coconut Or use 3 cups Post Toasties or Post 40% Bran Flakes.
Directions
Cream butter.
Add sugars gradually, creaming until light and fluffy.
Add egg and beat well.
Add remaining ingredients and stir until thoroughly mixed.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased heavy paper on baking sheet.
(Or use greased baking sheet.) Bake in moderate oven (350°F.) for 10 minutes, or until golden brown.
