Macaroon Animals Recipe

Ingredients
2 egg whites
6 oz. ground almonds
6 oz. castor sugar
About 2 teaspoons cornflour
Little icing for decoration
Directions
Whisk egg whites lightly, add ground almonds, sugar and enough cornflour to make firm dough.
Roll out to thin dough, cut into shapes with animal cutters.
Put on rice paper or baking tins and bake for about 20 minutes in a very moderate oven (350°F.€”Gas Mark 3).
Cut round paper when cold.
Decorate with icing.
