Directions

MAKING
1. Cook flour until it reaches a golden color.
2. Add the butter and let it melt over low heat flame and mix it well with flour.
3. Add the milk gradually and blending thoroughly while adding it.
4. Add salt and pepper to taste. Stir constantly to prevent the mixture from becoming lumpy until it reaches the desired thickness. (You may add more milk depending on the consistency you desire)
5. Add the nutmeg by sprinkling it over the sauce.
For preparing the macaroni:
6. Mix the cooked beef with the tomato paste and hot water. Add the herbs and cook for about 20 minutes or until the sauce has cooked to taste.
7. Add the meat sauce mix to the pasta
8. In a baking pan, mix half of the macaroni with 1 cup Béchamel Sauce. (you may add a little more sauce for the creamy texture)
9. Pour the mix of the tomato paste and the ground beef over the macaroni.
10. Keep on making the layers of macaroni, béchamel sauce and meat until you are done with them.
11. Sprinkle the top with grated cheese of your choice.
12. Bake at 350 F degree oven until the edges and the top turns a golden brown color.

SERVING
13. Serve hot with a cool glass of wine and enjoy!
