Macaroni Spinach Tart Recipe
Macaroni Spinach Tart has become one of my favorite recipes. I have taken this Macaroni Spinach Tart several times and received numerous compliments for it too. You will definitely like it!
Ingredients
1 cup chopped onions
1/4 cup Chicken Stock
3/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
3 eggs, beaten
2 tablespoons skim milk
1/2 teaspoon basil
Dash of nutmeg
1 pound spinach, lightly steamed and minced
1 cup macaroni, cooked until al dente (1/2 cup dry)
2 tablespoons wheat germ
1 orange, sliced (garnish)
6 parsley sprigs (garnish)
Directions
Cook the onions slowly in the stock in a medium-size skillet until they are translucent and tender.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cheese, eggs, milk, basil, and nutmeg.
Stir in the spinach, macaroni, and onions.
Transfer the mixture to a 9- or 10-inch pie plate or tart pan.
Sprinkle with the wheat germ.
Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.
