Macaroni Salad Loaf Recipe
Ingredients
| White sauce envelope | 1 | |
| Unflavored gelatin | 1 | |
| Sugar | 4 Teaspoon | |
| Seasoning salt | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Milk | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salad oil | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cider vinegar | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Mustard | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 2 teaspoons minced green onion | ||
| Elbow macaroni | 2 Cup (16 tbs), uncooked | |
| 1/4 pound Muenster or Cheddar cheese | ||
| Thinly sliced ham | 1/2 pound, boiled | |
| 4 hard-cooked eggs, diced | ||
| Celery | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), diced | |
| Radishes | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), diced | |
Directions
MAKING
1. Add the while sauce mix to a saucepan, add gelatin, salt, sugar and milk and bring it to a boil; turn the heat off
2. Add salad oil, mustard, vinegar and green onions
3. Cook the macaroni and drain the water out; add the salad dressing
4. Allow it to cool while you prepare the meat cheese rolls
5. Cut the cheese into 3" long and 0.5" thick sticks and wrap a slice of ham around each stick
6. Arrange it in two rows at the base of a large load pan
7. In case there is any remaining ham or cheese, dice it and add it to the macaroni, along with celery, eggs nad radishes
8. Spoon the macaroni into the pan and fill the spaces between the rolls
9. Fill the pan, chill it for several hours and then turn it out on the platter
SERVING
10. Garnish with slices of cucumber and serve
