Whole Wheat Macaroni Salad Recipe
Ingredients
| Macaroni | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Peas | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Celery - 2 stalks, chopped | ||
| Green pepper | 1/4 To taste | |
| Tarragon | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Sunflower oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Tomato Paste | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Basil | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Oregano - (1/2 teaspoon (2 ml) | ||
| Marjoram | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Directions
GETTING READY
1) In a large saucepan, boil water and add macaroni.
2) Cook macaroni for 4-5 minutes until tender but firm.
3) Drain macaroni and set aside.
MAKING
4) In a small pan, boil peas with little water.
5) Simmer for 1-2 minutes until crisp-tender.
6) In a serving bowl, combine macaroni, peas, celery and pepper.
7) Add oil, vinegar, tomato paste and seasonings.
8) Toss well to mix with salad.
9) Keep to chill.
SERVING
10) Serve the chilled macaroni salad with your meals.
