 4 slices bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces
 Onion1 Medium, chopped
 Green bell pepper1 Medium, chopped
 Elbow macaroni package1 , uncooked
 Tomato soup1 Can (10oz), condensed
 Hot water1 3/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 American Cheese2 Cup (16 tbs), shredded
 Buttered bread crumbs or cracker crumbs, if desired

Directions

1. Place bacon in 3-quart casserole. Cover loosely and microwave on high 4 to 5 minutes or until crisp. Stir in onion, bell pepper, macaroni, soup and water.
2. Cover tightly and microwave 14 to 16 minutes, stirring every 4 minutes, until macaroni is tender. Stir in cheese until melted. Top with bread crumbs.
