 1/4 cup CRISCOShortening

 Skim milk1 1/2 Teaspoon
 Egg1 (Filling)
 Egg white1 (Filling)
 Granulated Sugar1 Cup (16 tbs) (Filling)
 2 teaspoons finely shredded fresh lemon peel
 Lemon juice3 Tablespoon (Filling)
 All purpose flour2 Tablespoon (Filling)
 Baking powder1/2 Teaspoon (Filling)
 Drizzle
 Powdered sugar3/4 Cup (16 tbs) (Filling)
 Skim milk1 Tablespoon (Filling)
 Vanilla1/2 Teaspoon (Filling)
 1/4 teaspoon finely shredded fresh lemon peel

Directions

Heat oven to 350°F.
Grease 8-inch square pan.
For crust: Place in large bowl.
Beat at medium speed of electric' mixer 30 seconds.
Add granulated sugar and salt (if used).
Beat until fluffy.
Stir in flour and milk until crumbly and well mixed.
Turn into pan.
Press evenly against bottom.
Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes.
For filling: Combine egg, egg white, granulated sugar, lemon peel, lemon juice, flour and baking powder.
Beat at high speed 3 minutes.
Pour over hot, baked crust.
Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes or until light golden brown.
Cool.
For drizzle: Combine powdered sugar, milk, vanilla and lemon peel.
Drizzle over top.
Allow to set before cutting into bars.
