Low Cal Soft Custard Recipe
Low Cal Soft Custard! This dish was the answer to my prayer when I was craving for some custard and still had to maintain my diet! The Low Cal Soft Custard is simple and delicious and I am sure it will come in handy. Try it!
Ingredients
| Eggs | 2 | |
| Non-caloric sweetener equal to 8 teaspoons sugar | ||
| Salt | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Skim milk | 2 Cup (16 tbs), scalded | |
| Vanilla extract | 2 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Slightly beat eggs with the sweetener and salt in a bowl.
Gradually add the scalded milk, stirring constantly.
Strain mixture into the top of a double boiler.
Cook over simmering water, stirring constantly, until mixture coats a metal spoon.
Remove from water and cool to lukewarm over cold water.
Blend in the extract.
Pour custard into 6 sherbet glasses and chill immediately.
Or, chill and use as a sauce.
