Lovers Of Lime Jelly Recipe
Ingredients
| 3 Ige. green limes | ||
| 1 Ige. lemon | ||
| 1 sm. underripe apple | ||
| Sugar | 3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Green food coloring | 3 Drop | |
| 1 drop yellow food coloring | ||
Directions
Wash and dry the fruits carefully.
Use a sharp knife to remove the thin yellow part of the lemon peel.
Leave as much of the white part as possible.
Put the limes, lemon and apple through a food chopper, then measure.
Add 3 cups cool water for each cup chopped fruit.
Cover and let stand for 12 to 24 hours.
Bring to a boil over medium heat and boil for 20 minutes, then pour into a bowl.
Cover and let stand for 12 to 24 hours.
Turn into a jelly bag and let drip for several hours.
Do not press or squeeze the jelly bag.
The natural pale color of lime jelly may be retained, if desired, by omitting the food coloring.
