Lobster En Casserole Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter/Margarine | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Carrots | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs), thinly sliced | |
| Onion | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs), finley chopped | |
| Cooked ham | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), minced | |
| All purpose flour | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Basil | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Thyme | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Bay leaf | 1/2 , crumbled | |
| Milk | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 2 cups diced cooked lobster | ||
| Sliced mushrooms | 1 Can (10oz), drained | |
| 1 cup shredded Gruyere or brick cheese | ||
| Bread crumbs | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs), buttered | |
Directions
Heat oven to 450°.
Melt butter in large skillet.
Add carrots, onion and ham; cook and stir until carrots are tender.
Remove from heat.
Stir in flour and seasonings.
Cook over low heat, stirring until mixture is bubbly.
Remove from heat.
Stir in milk.
Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
Boil and stir 1 minute.
Stir in lobster and mushrooms.
Pour into ungreased 2-quart casserole.
Sprinkle with 3/4 cup of the cheese and top with crumbs.
Sprinkle remaining cheese over top.
Bake uncovered 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
