Liver Supper Snacks Recipe
Ingredients
| 8 oz. New Zealand lamb's liver | ||
| Bacon | 2 Ounce | |
| 2-3 small onions little butter | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | 1 | |
| Large pinch dried sage | ||
| 8 oz. short crust pastry | ||
| Egg to glaze | ||
Directions
Lightly fry slices of liver, bacon and onions in a little butter.
Put through mincer or chop finely.
Season to taste and add a sprinkling of sage.
Roll out pastry thinly to a long oblong about 6-inches wide.
Spread filling mixture along one side of pastry 3/4-inch from the edge.
Moisten along one side of pastry with water and fold over, making a long sandwich.
Press edges firmly together to seal.
Mark into portions, place on lightly greased and floured baking sheet.
Brush over with a little beaten egg and bake in a hot oven (425-450°F - Gas Mark 6-7) about 20 minutes.
Serve hot or cold with a green salad.
