Ingredients

 
1 medium onion, peeled and thinly sliced
 
1/2 cup beef broth
 
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
 
1/4 teaspoon caraway seed
 
1 pound beef liver slices (about 1/2 inch thick)

Directions

1. Put onion, broth and seasonings into an 8-inch square glass baking dish. Cover with waxed paper. Cook in microwave oven 7 minutes
at High.
2. Meanwhile, cut away tubes and outer membrane from liver, if necessary. Rinse liver, pat dry and cut into serving pieces.
3. Remove the onion slices with slotted spoon. Add liver (thin ends to center of dish). Cook covered in microwave oven 2 minutes at High.
4. Turn liver pieces over and put onion slices on top. Cook covered in microwave oven 6 to 7 minutes at Medium-High, or until liver is done to taste; rotate dish one-half turn after 3 1/2 minutes.
