Liqueur Pound Cake Recipe
Ingredients
| Vegetable oil cooking spray | ||
| Cake flour to dust pan | ||
| Cake flour | 1 Cup (16 tbs), sifted | |
| Baking soda | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Baking powder | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 6 egg whites at room temperature | ||
| Powdered sugar | 1 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), sifted | |
| Vanilla | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Apple-Liqueur Syrup | ||
Directions
In a medium-size bowl, stir together the 1 cup flour, baking soda, and baking powder until well blended.
Set aside.
In large bowl of an electric mixer, beat egg whites at high speed until foamy.
Gradually add sugar, beating until whites barely hold soft peaks; beat in vanilla.
Add flour mixture; beat just until well mixed.
Spread batter in prepared pan.
Set aside.
