Linguine With Shrimp And Sun Dried Tomatoes Recipe

Ingredients

 
3/4 lb. linguine or fettuccine
 
8 asparagus spears, cut into 1" pieces
 
4 tbsp. butter
 
1/2 cup chopped onions
 
2 tbsp. chopped shallots or onions
 
10 oz. shrimps, peeled and deveined, cut into small pieces
 
6 sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
 
1 cup heavy cream
 
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese

Directions

Cook in boiling water until firm to the bite (al dente).
Drain and set aside.
Meanwhile, prepare sauce.
Boil for 2 minutes.
Drain and set aside.
Heat in large skillet.
Add and saute until onions are golden.
Add to onion mixture with cooked asparagus and cook just until shrimp turns pink.
Add and cook on a medium heat approx 2 minutes, until sauce thickens.
Add to sauce and add fettuc-cine.
Stir well and serve.

The instructions make no sense at all. Add what and saute? Add what to onion mixture? It sounds like a great recipe but I can't quite understand the process.
