Linguine With Clam Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
2 6 1/2-ounce cans minced clams
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 tablespoon snipped parsley
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 15-ounce can tomato sauce
1 6-ounce can tomato paste
1 cup water
1 teaspoon dried basil, crushed
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
Linguine, cooked and drained
Grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
Drain clams, reserving liquid.
In 2-quart casserole, cook onion, parsley, and garlic in oil at HIGH for 2 minutes or till tender, stirring once.
Stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste, water, reserved clam liquid, basil, sugar, salt, and pepper.
Cook, covered, at MEDIUM (5) for 30 minutes.
Add clams.
