Limeade Pie Recipe
Loaded with taste, this Limeade Pie recipe is a plateful of temptation! I just love Dessert recipes and this dish is my only favorite amongst them. You must try this recipe.
Ingredients
1 6-oz. can frozen limeade
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. cornstarch
4 eggs, separated
1 tbsp. butter
Green food coloring
1 baked 9 in. pastry shell
Directions
"Thaw limeade.
Mix 1/2 cup sugar and cornstarch.
Beat egg yolks; add cornstarch mixture and limeade.
Bring 1 cup water to a boil over low heat; add but- ter.
Stir egg yolk mixture into water gradually, stir- ring constantly, until thickened.
Remove from heat; add food coloring to desired tint.
Beat egg whites until frothy; beat in remaining sugar, a small amount at a time, until stiff peaks form.
Fold half the me- ringue into cooked filling; pour into pastry shell.
Top with remaining meringue.
Bake at 350 degrees until meringue is lightly browned."
