Ingredients

 Unsalted butter1 Cup (16 tbs), softened
 Sugar3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
 Egg1
 Lemon extract1 Teaspoon
 Lime rind1 Teaspoon
 Milk2 Tablespoon
 Flour1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
 Powdered sugar1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Topping)
 Lemon juice2 Teaspoon (Topping)

Directions

Preheat oven to 350
Grease cookie sheets

In large bowl, beat butter and sugar till light and fluffy
Add egg, lemon extract, and lime rind. Mix well
Add flour 1 cup at a time blending well
Form dough into ball and let rest 5 minutes
Take a portion of dough at a time and roll into a 4" log,
Fold rope in half and twist into a rope by twisting
Repeat till done
Mix together topping ingredients for frosting cookies
Bake 12 minutes or till golden brown
Remove from oven and brush while still hot and remove to cool on wire racks
