Make lime baskets this way: Mark a guideline lengthwise around the center of lime with the tip of a knife.
Then mark off a 1/2-inch-wide strip across the top for handle.
Cut out sections between marks and remove the remaining lime pulp from the bottom.
Wrap baskets in foil or transparent wrap and chill.
Dice enough of the lime pulp to measure 1/4 cup.
Place in a medium-size bowl. (Use remainder for punch or for flavoring the fruit cup.)
Drain liquid from artichoke hearts into the bowl with lime.
Chop artichokes and add with corn, pimientos, onion, sugar and salt; toss lightly to mix.
Chill at least 6 hours to season.
When ready to serve, trim a thin slice from the bottom of each lime basket, if needed, to make the basket stand flat.
Spoon the corn mixture into the baskets.
Serve as a side dish.
