Lime Jelly Squares Recipe
Ingredients
| Sweetened condensed milk- 1 tin, chilled | ||
| Lemon | 1 , squeezed | |
| Lime jelly powder- 3 tablespoons | ||
| Fine coconut flakes- 2 cups | ||
| Graham wafers- 1 large packet | ||
| Butter Icing- as required | ||
Directions
MAKING
1. In a medium sized bowl, combine condensed milk, 2 tablespoons lime jelly powder, lemon juice and coconut. Mix well using a whisk and keep aside.
2. Cover 9 inch x 9 inch pan with wax paper.
3. Evenly spread ½ quantity whole graham wafers and cover with prepared condensed milk mixture.
4. Top with remaining quantity of wafers. Keep aside.
5. In another bowl, combine butter icing with remaining lime jelly powder and mix well.
6. Ice prepared pie with this icing and refrigerate for minimum 2 hours in freezer or 3 to 4 hours in refrigerator.
SERVING
7. Cut into squares and serve immediately.
