Lime Ice Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 qt. water, hot | ||
| Lime juice | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar to taste, 1 1/2 to 2 cups | ||
| Juice 1 lemon | ||
| Egg whites | 3 , beaten | |
| Grated rind of 1 lime | ||
Directions
Dissolve sugar in hot water.
Let cool, add lime and lemon juice, pour into cooled sugar-water mixture.
Taste for flavor; more or less juice and sugar may be added, according to tartness of limes.
Add grated lime rind, freeze to mush, then add beaten egg whites.
Freeze.
