Lime Glazed Turkey Recipe
Ingredients
| 1/4 teaspoon finely shredded lime peel or lemon peel | ||
| 2 tablespoons lime juice or lemon juice | ||
| 1 tablespoon com syrup | ||
| Dried tarragon | 1/4 Teaspoon, crushed | |
| Paprika | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Garlic powder | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Several dashes bottled hot pepper sauce | ||
| 4 turkey breast tenderloin steaks, cut 1/2 inch thick | ||
Directions
For glaze, in a small bowl combine lime or lemon peel, lime or lemon juice, corn syrup, tarragon, paprika, salt, garlic powder, and hot pepper sauce. Mix well.
Rinse turkey and pat dry. Cook on an uncovered grill directly over medium coals for 6 minutes. Turn and brush with glaze. Continue cooking for 6 to 9 minutes more or till tender and no longer pink, brushing frequently with glaze during the last few minutes. Or, to broil, place on the unheated rack of a broiler pan. Broil 4 to 5 inches from the heat for 5 minutes. Brush turkey with glaze. Turn and brush again with glaze. Continue broiling for 6 to 8 minutes more or till tender and no longer pink, brushing frequently with glaze during the last few minutes.
