Ingredients

 
1 1/2 pounds beef top round steak, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
 
2 tablespoons cooking oil
 
1 16-ounce can whole small carrots
 
1 16-ounce can lima beans
 
2 cups frozen small whole onions or 1 15 1/2-ounce can boiled onions, drained
 
1 10 3/4-ounce can condensed tomato soup
 
2 teaspoons brown sugar
 
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme, crushed
 
1 1/4 cups Whole Wheat-Honey Biscuit Mix
 
1/3 cup milk

Directions

In large saucepan or Dutch oven cook beef cubes half at a time in hot cooking oil till browned.
Return all the meat cubes to pan.
Stir in undrained carrots, undrained lima beans, and frozen or drained canned onions.
Stir in tomato soup, brown sugar, and thyme.
Bring mixture to boiling.
Combine Whole Wheat-Honey Biscuit Mix and milk.
Drop batter in 6 mounds atop boiling mixture.
Cover; simmer 10 minutes.
Uncover; simmer 10 minutes more.
