Lentil Soup with Frankfurters Recipe

Ingredients
Bacon slices - 3, diced
Frankfurters - 4, thinly sliced(1/2 lb)
Instant minced onion - 1 teaspoon
Dried thyme leaves- 1/8 teaspoon
Lentil soup - 2 cans (1 lb, 4 oz)
Dairy sour cream
Parsley - chopped
Directions
MAKING
1) In 3-quart saucepan, saute bacon until almost crisp.
2) In a cup, pour the drippings; return 1 tablespoon to saucepan; discard rest.
3) Add frankfurters, onion, and thyme; cook over high heat until frankfurters are browned for 2 to 3 minutes.
4) Remove pan from heat.
5) Add soup; let it boil.
6) Lower the heat; cover the pan and simmer for 5 minutes.
SERVING
7) Top each serving with a spoonful of sour cream and bacon.
8) Sprinkle parsley and serve.
