Lentil Soup (Masur Daal) Recipe
Ingredients
100 gms. red lentils (Masur dal)
100 gms. Carrots
100 gms. Onions
1 Tbl. sp. oil
2 Medium potatoes
4 Cups stock or 5 cups water
Kothmir (chopped) and milk (optional) for garnish,
salt, pepper and herbs to taste.
Directions
Wash the lentils and slice the vegetables.
Saute together with oil for 15 mins stirring frequently on low heat.
Add the liquid, seasoning and herbs.
Allow to boil and simmer till vegetables are tender.
Liquidise and reheat, adding milk if required.
Add chopped kothmir before serving.
