Ingredients

 Sodium chicken broth2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Water2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Lentils1/2 Cup (16 tbs), rinsed
 14 oz. can whole tomatoes, chopped and with their juice
 Tomato Paste5 Ounce
 Brown sugar1/2 Tablespoon
 1/2 c. each sliced carrots and chopped celery
 5 oz. pkg. frozen Italian green beans
 Onion1 Medium
 Garlic2 Clove (5gm), minced
 Dry pasta1/2 Cup (16 tbs), uncooked
 Bay leaf1
 1/4 tsp. each basil, oregano, thyme, black pepper and marjoram
 Wine vinegar1/8 Cup (16 tbs)

Directions

Step1-In a pot combine broth, water, lentils, tomatoes, tomato paste, brown sugar, vegetables and garlic.

Step2-Bring to a boil; lower heat.

Step3-Cover pot; simmer for 25-35 minutes.

Step4-Add about 1 more cups of water, pasta, spices and vinegar and simmer for about 20 minutes more.

Step5-Remove bay leaf before serving.
