Herbed Lentil Stew Recipe
Ingredients
| Lentils | 1 Cup (16 tbs), dried | |
| Garlic | 5 Clove (25 gm), crushed | |
| Onions | 2 , chopped | |
| Green pepper | 1 , chopped | |
| Tomato juice | 4 Cup (64 tbs) | |
| Chili powder | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Cumin powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Basil | 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Oregano | 1⁄4 Teaspoon | |
| Thyme | 1⁄4 Teaspoon |

Directions
1)Clean lentils with water and drain.
2)In a heavy skillet, put onion, garlic, pepper and water. Stir for 5 minutes even asl the mixture starts to steam.
3)Now add in tomato juice, cumin, herbs and chili powder.
4)Put in the lentils and stir to blend.
5)Bring the mixture to boil and simmer over reduced heat for 45 to 50 minutes. Lentils have to be cooked to tenderness.
SERVING
6)Serve this nutritious stew with homemade bread or sesame rolls.
