Lentil Soup Recipe
Do you think you need to frequent a restaurant for Lentil Soup, when you can make it at home? I just love Appetizer recipes and this dish is my only favorite amongst them. I am sure both of us will be in agreement that this Lentil Soup is truly scrumptious.
Ingredients
2 tsp Mazola corn oil
1 cup onion, sliced
1 clove garlic, minced
4 cup water
1 4 1/2 oz. tomatoes
1 cup lentils, rinsed, drained
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 cup carrots, thinly sliced
1 tsp lemon juice
2 tsp fresh parsley, chopped peel of small lemon, cut in very thin strips
Directions
In 4 qt. (4 L) soup pot, heat oil over medium high heat.
Add onion and garlic.
Cook, stirring, 2 minutes or until tender.
Add next 4 ingredients.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until lentils are cooked.
Add carrots and lemon juice during last 15 minutes.
Garnish with parsley and lemon peel.
Add onion and garlic.
