Chilled Lemonade Recipe
Ingredients
| Grated rind and juice of 6 lemons | ||
| 250 g/8 oz sugar | ||
| 1.2 litres/2 pints boiling water | ||
Directions
Put the lemon rind and sugar in a tall jug.
Pour in the boiling water and stir to dissolve the sugar.
Allow to cool, then chill for 2 hours.
Stir in the lemon juice and strain the lemonade into another jug.
Serve chilled.
Makes 7.5 litres/2 pints
