Lemon Sour Recipe
Ingredients
| Flour | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Butter | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Eggs | 2 | |
| Brown sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Coconut | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Nuts | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Baking powder | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Lemon juice | 1 1/2 Tablespoon | |
| 1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind | ||
| Confectioner’s sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Combine flour and butter; blend until mixture re- sembles fine crumbs.
Sprinkle evenly in 11 x 7-inch baking pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
Beat eggs; add brown sugar, coconut, nuts and bak- ing powder.
Mix thoroughly; spread over flour mix- ture.
Bake for 20 minutes longer.
Mix lemon juice, lemon rind and confectioners' sugar, blending well.
Spread over top.
Cool; cut into squares.
Yield: 24 squares.
