| Boiled white rice | ||
| Clarified butter | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Peanut oil | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Urad dal | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Bengal Gram | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Mustard seeds | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| A large pinch of hing (asafoetida) | ||
| A few chopped curry leaves | ||
| Green chillies | 2 , chopped | |
| A large pinch of turmeric powder | ||
| Juice of 1 lime | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
| A few chopped coriander leaves | ||
Directions
Microwave in a bowl ghee and oil with urad and channa dal, mustard seeds, and hing for 2 minutes.
Stir in curry leaves, chillies and turmeric powder and microwave for 30 seconds more.
Mix in the rice, lime juice and salt.
When ready to serve, sprinkle 1/2 cup of water over the rice and microwave for 3 minutes.
Garnish with coriander leaves
