Lemon Cheese Cake Recipe
Ingredients
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
3 1/3 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
8 egg whites
Directions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
Sift dry ingredients together.
Add flour mixture, milk and vanilla to creamed mixture gradually, beating after each addi- tion.
Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
Spoon batter into 3 greased and floured 9-inch layer cake pans.
Bake until cake tests done.
Cool layers thoroughly; remove from pans.
