Lemon Caraway Cookies Recipe
Ingredients
1 egg
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 cup shortening, softened
2 teaspoons caraway seed
3 cups cake flour
1/2 teaspoon soda
12 teaspoon salt
Directions
Beat egg, add sugar gradually and continue beating.
Ada lemon juice, shortening and caraway seed.
Sift the dry ingredients and add.
Make into a roll and wrap in waxed paper.
Chill until firm enough to slice thin.
Bake in a not oven (400°F.) 10 minutes.
Makes 60 thin 2 1/2 inch cookies.
