Lemon Veal Steak Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 pound veal round steak | ||
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), halved | |
| Butter | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Lemon | 1 , sliced | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Paprika | ||
| Onion | 1 Large, sliced | |
| Tomato | 1 Large, sliced | |
| 1/2 cup consomme, or beef or veal stock | ||
| Chopped parsley | ||
Directions
Rub meat with garlic.
Cut meat into 3/8 inch slices.
In a large frying pan, melt butter, then brown meat quickly.
Remove from heat, and squeeze juice of one lemon slice over all the meat.
Season with salt and paprika.
Arrange onion and tomato slices over the meat.
Pour consomme over all.
Cover and cook slowly 15 minutes.
Add remaining lemon slices, cover, and cook 15 minutes more, or until meat is tender.
Remove meat to serving plate, and sprinkle with chopped parsley to garnish.
