Lemon Sauce Recipe
The taste of this very Lemon Sauce recipe has played on my senses so much that I seldom consider any other recipe of Lemon Sauce. I have a weakness for lemon, thus I prepare this recipe often. You can serve Lemon Sauce as a yummy Side Dish. In my view, if one calls oneself a good cook, one must have a personal recipe of Lemon Sauce, just like I do.
Ingredients
1 tablespoon cornstarch or 2 tablespoons flour
1/3 cup sugar
Grated rind of 1 lemon
1 cup cold water
1 1/2 tablespoons butter or margarine
Juice of 1 lemon, strained
Directions
Mix cornstarch, sugar and lemon rind.
Slowly add water, keeping mixture smooth.
Cook, stirring until sauce is thick and clear.
Serve hot, adding butter or margarine and lemon juice just before pouring over gingerbread.
