 Sugar2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Lemon peel4 Teaspoon, grated
 Lemon juice1 Cup (16 tbs)
 1 to 2 pints lemon sherbet
 1 to 2 pints orange sherbet
 2 1-pint 12-ounce bottles ginger ale, chilled

Directions

Combine sugar and 2 cups water; heat, stirring constantly, till sugar dissolves; cool.
Add 2 cups water, lemon peel and juice; chill.
Pour into chilled punch bowl; add scoops of sherbet, stirring till partially melted.
Pour ginger ale down side of bowl, stirring with an up-and-down motion.
Serve immediately in punch cups.
