Lemon Poppy Seed Biscuits Recipe
Ingredients
| All purpose flour | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Lemon peel | 1 Teaspoon, grated | |
| Baking powder | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Baking soda | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Poppy seeds | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Sugar | 1 Tablespoon | |
| 1 cup lowfat lemon-flavored yogurt | ||
| 1/4 cup nonfat milk | ||
| Canola oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
Directions
GETTING READY
1.Preheat the oven to 450F.
MAKING
2.Take a bowl and mix flour, lemon peel, baking soda, poppy seeds and sugar in it.
3.Make a mixture of yogurt, oil and milk and once done fold into the flour mixture and blend.
4.Make the dough out of the mixture on a lightly floured surface.
5.Roll the dough to 1/2 inch thickness.
6.Use a biscuit cutter and shape out 12-1 4 biscuits of 2 inch.
7.Put the biscuits on an ungreased baking sheet.
8.Bake the biscuits for 10-12 minutes.
SERVING
9.Serve the biscuits with tea/ coffee.
