Sensational Lemon Chicken Recipe
Ingredients
| All purpose flour | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Paprika | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Fryer chicken | 3 Pound | |
| Lemon juice | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Shortening | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Chicken | 1 | |
| 1/4 cup thinly sliced green onion | ||
| Brown sugar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Lemon peel | 1 1/2 Teaspoon, grated | |
| Snipped parsley | 2 Tablespoon | |
Directions
Combine flour, 1 teaspoon salt, and paprika in paper or plastic bag.
Brush chicken with lemon juice.
Add 2 or 3 pieces of chicken at a time to bag and shake well.
In 12-inch skillet brown the chicken slowly in hot shortening. (Electric skillet 350°.)
Dissolve bouillon cube in 3/4 cup boiling water; pour over chicken.
Stir in green onion, brown sugar, lemon peel, and any remaining lemon juice.
Cover; reduce heat (220°).
Cook over low heat till chicken is tender, 40 to 45 minutes.
Sprinkle with parsley.
