Lemon Cheese Pie Recipe
This Lemon Cheese Pie recipe is by a long shot my most preferred recipe. An incredible Lemon Cheese Pie gets its taste from Fruits. Ingredients
1 1/4 cups sugar
1/4 cup cornstarch
1 cup water
1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
1/3 cup lemon juice
2 eggs, separated
1/2 cup (half an 8 oz. package) softened cream cheese
Baked Lemon Crust
Directions
In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of the sugar with cornstarch.
Stir in water, lemon peel and juice, and egg yolks, beaten.
Cook, stirring, until thick.
Remove; blend in softened cheese.
Cool.
Beat egg whites to soft peaks; gradually beat in remaining 1/4 cup sugar.
Fold into lemon mixture.
Turn into pie shell.
Chill.
Stir in water, lemon peel and juice, and egg yolks, beaten.
Cook, stirring, until thick.
