Lemon Buttermilk Sherbet Recipe
Ingredients
| Unflavoured Gelatine- 1 envelope | ||
| Cold water | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Citrus-Flavoured- 1 cup, low-calorie carbonated beverage | ||
| Lemon Rind- 1 teaspoon, grated | ||
| Artificial sweetener | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Buttermilk | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Nutmeg | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Boiling water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
MAKING
1) In a small bowl, place gelatine and pour cold water over it.
2) Leave it for 5 minutes to soften.
3) Mix in boiling water to incorporate gelatine.
4) Add beverage, lemon rind, sweetener, buttermilk and nutmeg.
FINALIZING
5) Place the bowl in the freezer until semi frozen.
6) Remove and beat the mixture until smooth.
7) Put the mixture in 8 dessert bowls and freeze until frozen.
SERVING
8) Serve chilled, garnished with lemon slices if desired.
