Ingredients

 4 to 5 lb. leg of lamb, shank removed
 Garlic2 Clove (5gm), slivered
 Onions2 , sliced
 Beef broth1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Salt To Taste
 Pepper To Taste

Directions

Trim excess fat from lamb.
Lightly season with salt and pepper.
Make slits with a knife into bone area; insert garlic slivers.
Place sliced onions in bottom of crock pot.
Place lamb on top of onions.
Lay anchovy fillets over top of lamb.
Add broth.
Cover and cook on high setting for 1 hour.
Turn to low setting and cook 10 to 12 hours.
