Leftover Rice and Peas Recipe
Ingredients
| Rice, whatever is left over | ||
| Peas, whatever is left over | ||
| 1/2 lb. soft-fried bacon bits or cubes | ||
| Mustard seed | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Onion powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Garlic powder | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Grated cheddar cheese, enough to cover top | ||
| Parmesan or Romano cheese, grated (small amount) | ||
| Dried parsley | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Soy sauce | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Louisiana hot sauce, to taste | ||
| Eggs, beaten with dry white wine (2,4, or 6—depending on how much leftovers you have) | ||
Directions
Combine all these ingredients and top with cheddar cheese.
Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
