Leeks In Cream Of Brie Recipe
Ingredients
| Whites of leeks | 6 , cut into 4 inch lengths | |
| Butter | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Onion | 1 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| Heavy cream | 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs) | |
| Brie cheese | 1 Ounce | |
| Nutmeg | 1 Pinch | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste |
Directions
In a saucepan filled with lightly salted boiling water, blanch leeks 6 minutes or so.
Drain.
Set aside.
In a frying pan, melt butter.
Cook chopped onion 1 minute.
Fold in cream.
Continue cooking 2 minutes.
Meanwhile, remove crust from Brie.
Fold cheese into cream sauce.
Season with nutmeg, salt and pepper.
While stirring, continue cooking until Brie has completely melted.
Reheat leeks in sauce.
