Leek Salad Recipe

This recipe of Leek Salad was picked up by me from a gourmet magazine, I twisted it a little bit to meet my taste here I am, sharing my version with you. Leek Salad goes perfectly as Side Dish. Ingredients

 
1 Dozen leeks (trimmed)
 
1 Tbl. sp. vinegar
 
1 Tbl. sp. oil
 
1 Tsp. sugar
 
1 Tbl. sp. white sauce
 
A little mustard
 
Green pepper chopped or a sliced tomato for garnish.

Directions

Boil the leeks in salted water until tender.
Drain.
Blend the other ingredients to make a sauce and pour it over the leeks.
Marinate the leeks in this mixture for 24 hours.
Serve cold garnished with chopped green pepper or sliced tomato.
NOTE : This salad can be served with cold fish or cold cuts of meat, or a warm baked dish consisting of corn, vegetables or mushrooms.
