|Freshly ground black pepper||3⁄4 Teaspoon|

Add leeks, cover, and cook slowly until very tender, about 30 minutes.
Add curry powder, garlic, parsley, salt to taste and pepper, and cook uncovered, stirring occasionally, for another 10 minutes.
Cool to room temperature.
Beat whole egg and egg yolk together in a small bowl, stir into cooled leek mixture, cover and refrigerate.
