Lebanese Lamb Shish Kebab Recipe

Ingredients
250 g/8 oz boneless lamb cut into 3/4 pieces
1 onion cut into 8 pieces
1 tomato cut into 8 pieces and remove pulp
1/2 bell pepper cut into 1 square pieces
MARINADE
1 tsp Lebanese spice powder
1/2 tsp roasted ground cumin (bhuna jeera)
1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
14 cup very finely chopped parsley or coriander/cilantro
4 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp paprika or degi mirch
4 tbsp oil
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp freshly crushed black peppercorns
Directions
Mix all the ingredients of the marinade in a bowl.
Add lamb pieces, mix well.
Place in the refrigerator for atleast 5-6 hours or overnight in the fridge.
Add onion, tomato and bell pepper.
Mix well.
Thread meat, onion, tomatoes and bell peppers onto skewers, alternating the ingredients.
Oil the barbecue plate/rack.
Preheat barbecue to low medium heat.
Cook the skewers on the lightly oiled barbecue for 30-35 minutes, turning them 2 or 3 times.
Baste with melted butter or oil.
Cook till tender.
Add lamb pieces, mix well.
